March 3, 2016- Chocolate nut laddoos

Chellu again attempted her chocolate ladoos with a twist . She added a cashew powder to the mixture and also studded them with a whole cashew.

March 31, 2016- Gulab Jamuns

Chellu attempted Gulab Jamuns pretty much by herself. Her estimate and final result with the sugar syrup , mixing the dough and making balls were simply perfect!! I pitched and supervised with the frying ...Infact the balls I had rolled were much worse. Hers were nearly perfect. She also made the sugar syrup twice. We were also duly helped by Shreedhari who helped in transferring the Gulab jamun balls to the sugar syrup after patting down the oil on a paper towel. So proud of this girl!!

Sep 17, 2015- Gotto Cook That Dream: Fruit tarts first thing in the morning

One of those " I wanna cook first thing in the morning days!" . Shruthkirti has been having this trend of dreaming many recipes in her sleep and will many a days get up first thing in the morning and start cooking them. Today was one such day. She made plum , lemon and heart shaped apple tarts with sprinkles.

Since Shreedhari loves wtaching little kids, we decided to gibe babysitting a serious try this year. Baby Rhys who happens to be fellow Hser and midwife in the making, Tracie's kid has started to visit us since last week. This Thursday he was also accompanied by his elder brother Emmet. It was such fun for all the four kids and having these whole fruit popsicles only added to all this fun.

Feb 23, 2016- Millet dosa tacos with spicy spinach stuffing

I made some yummy millet dosas today for lunch. Shruthkirti joined me in making these for herself and her sister and also did an additional spicy brocolli stuffing. Served it in style with gongura chutney and spinach leaves.
